In addition to studying the issue of long working hours among healthcare professionals at the individual level using a mobile application, Dr. Lin also utilized various large databases to study healthcare workforce policies at the population level and collaborated the National Health Research Institutes on policy-related research. Recently, he has published academic papers estimating the supply and demand of psychiatrists in Taiwan from 2005 to 2030, which served as an important references for mental healthcare policy-making. One of these papers, titled “Trends in Mental Health Care: From 2005 to 2030 in Taiwan,” was published in Psychiatry Research (IF=11.3) and received the “Young Scientist Award” from the National Health Research Institutes in 2023.
